Martin Roth - President

With more than 30 years of operational management experience, Martin Roth, president, has a proven track record of success in significantly improving company revenues and profits.  In leadership positions at companies such as Courtaulds PLC, United States Can Company and Continental Can Company, Roth has had profit-loss responsibility for multi-million dollar businesses, comprised of multiple facilities and hundreds of employees.
 
During his tenure as president of Thatcher Tubes and Knight Engineering and Plastics with Courtaulds PLC, he established global contacts, dramatically increased market share, managed the startup of two new plants, formed partnership alliances, initiated ISO 9000 implementation, developed and implemented a focused quality improvement program that cut customer complaints in half, expanded product lines, established sophisticated employee training programs and significantly increased sales and profitability.
 
At United States Can Company and Continental Can Company, Roth held senior level positions in operations, finance, engineering and supply chain management.  As vice president of operations planning and research, he was a member of the corporate operating committee and the MIS steering committee, establishing policy and long term strategic direction.
 
He has reduced setup times in operations, improved productivity, enhanced materials management systems though the implementation of ERP, MRP II and JIT programs, not only reducing lead time by 25 percent, but also improving delivery time to 99 percent and improving inventory turns by 50 percent.  Roth has set strategic direction for capital investment in operations and directed the implementation of computer integrated manufacturing (CIM), establishing a “world class” operating facility.
 
Roth received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the City College of New York and an MBA from Roosevelt University where he still serves on the Community Advisory board.
